Despite demonstrating continuous efforts, Cameroon is still a developping country with a third of its population leaving in poverty as defined by the United Nations. On top of that Cameroon is host to more than 470,000 foreign refugees and is challenged with 1 million internally displaced citizens (cf: UN Refugee Agency – UNHCR).
These conditions often arise to emergency situations, thus The Francis Ngannou Foundation maintains a special emergency fund that aims to respond quickly to specific individuals and groups emergencies such as:
– Hospital surgeries for urgent, rare and atypical conditions;
– Euipments and materials;
– Sanitories and hygiene supplies;
– Foods and supplies of clean water.
